[ - ] We always remove our shoes when we come into the apartment, but I hate that they are always all over the entryway. I'd like to get a piece of furniture or something else to hide them (or at least organize them). Does anyone else do this? TIA. 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Container store sells lots of shoe storage. I think the coolest closed one is a tall cabinet with tilt out shoe compartments. It could probably be spray painted any color you want and it's very shallow, so it won't take up a lot of floor space. [ Reply | More ]

I get lots of compliments on our solution. I hung three canvas buckets from Pottery Barn Kids, believe it or not, along the wall of our entryway. Just used a big hook from the hardware store for the "handle" of each bucket to hang on. One for me, one for husband, one for the kids. No more shoes on the floor, and no more toddlers taking the shoes and leaving them all over the house -- yeah! [ Reply | More ]

op - exactly. I know my dh would never cheat, 1)he adores me and 2) he respects me and 3) he respects himself 4) he doesn't believe in divorce except in very extenuating circumstances [ Reply | More ]

did you ever stop to think that the ppl who worry about this have past issues of a cheating spouse, father, boyfriend, ect. Did you think that they may have valid reasons for worrying? Like dh has a sex addiction, porn addiction, ect. Not everyone is lucky enough to feel secure and confident [ Reply | More ]

of course I understand that. However, it is really sad when past issues with other people can't allow you to trust the person you're currently with [ Reply | More ]

well that's why they are called issues. It isn't so easy to get over past issues. It took me a while but I finally did. It's hard when every man (including your own father) has let you down in some way. It's very hard to trust when those who you put all of your trust in the past, really hurt you. it's not easy to get over such pain [ Reply | More ]

you never know what anyone will choose to do, I don't care how in control you think you are. No one gets married saying "oh, there's a good chance we'll get divorced, it's 50-50, let's go for it anyway" they always say "I'm only doing this once." Yet 50% of them divorce and who knows how many cheat. I don't expect my husband would cheat, but either do the posters on here who write about their cheating dh's. Most of them never saw it coming! the only selective public for which admission is not completely score-based is hunter. in other words, there is no such thing as exmissions when it comes to public school. [ Reply | More ]

it doesn't matter what preschool - the uws ones like weekday, greenhse, montessoris, jcc, etc all send varying #s of kids to H/A/G&Ts every year. It's not the schools - it's the kids & families [ Reply | More ]

Prek's can't sway a public school to take their kids. All kids have to show their stuff on the day of the testing. Smart kids who don't have a bad day will do well and make the cut off. That's it. If a school attracts smart kids, it's not to the school's credit that these kids made the cutoff. [ Reply | More ]
