Container store sells lots of shoe storage. I think the coolest closed one is a tall cabinet with tilt out shoe compartments. It could probably be spray painted any color you want and it's very shallow, so it won't take up a lot of floor space. [ Reply | More

I get lots of compliments on our solution. I hung three canvas buckets from Pottery Barn Kids, believe it or not, along the wall of our entryway. Just used a big hook from the hardware store for the "handle" of each bucket to hang on. One for me, one for husband, one for the kids. sounds fine to me. fruit, veg, protein, dairy. i'm a big proponent of letting kids eat what they want (except for sugary things). i think in the long run, they eat what's best for them. and when weprussure them to eat differently, it just sets up a power play. [ Reply | More

Prek's can't sway a public school to take their kids. All kids have to show their stuff on the day of the testing. Smart kids who don't have a bad day will do well and make the cut off. That's it.
