3 yo DS is basically only eating: peanut butter & banana sandwiches, Prager's spinach pancakes, hard boiled eggs, apple sauce, and bagels and cream cheese. How concerned should I be? It doesn't seem like a terrible diet--limited, but not terrible. Am I wrong? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

give the kid a vitamin, offer a variety of foods, and try not to stress. its not a horrible selection and there's no real good way to force a kid to eat things he doesnt want. [ Reply | More ]

It's hard that he won't eat what other kids eat: pizza or PB&J even. [ Reply | More ]

Sounds pretty typical - one day he will probably announce he "hates" one of these foods and wants something different. My dc's do this all the time. Also, when they get older, they start to see other kids eating new foods and decide they want to try them. [ Reply | More ]

sounds fine to me. fruit, veg, protein, dairy. i'm a big proponent of letting kids eat what they want (except for sugary things). i think in the long run, they eat what's best for them. and when weprussure them to eat differently, it just sets up a power play. [ Reply | More ]
