the only selective public for which admission is not completely score-based is hunter. in other words, there is no such thing as exmissions when it comes to public school. [ Reply | More ]

I was not asking that. I was asking how kids did with H/A and G&T from those schools this year? [ Reply | More ]

it doesn't matter what preschool - the uws ones like weekday, greenhse, montessoris, jcc, etc all send varying #s of kids to H/A/G&Ts every year. It's not the schools - it's the kids & families [ Reply | More ]

I agree. It's not like the schools teach better stuff. They all paint, play with blocks, etc. I don't think they do drills. [ Reply | More ]

Prek's can't sway a public school to take their kids. All kids have to show their stuff on the day of the testing. Smart kids who don't have a bad day will do well and make the cut off. That's it. If a school attracts smart kids, it's not to the school's credit that these kids made the cutoff. [ Reply | More ]

Weekday did very well. Hunter, Anderson, 166, 9, other district g&t. That said, other than Hunter Pre-Ks have very little to do with placement in publics. [ Reply | More ]
