My dd screamed like that at 12 mos b/c she had an ear infection. But if she doesn't seem sick, maybe she just didn't get enough sleep today; 30 mins doesn't sound like much at all. That is the biggest myth. TT prek doesn't help you get into TT private. Only a handfull of most $$$$$ families actually benefit from it who need the PSD to wink and nod to TT DOA ("yes, they contribute $$$"). Other kids are at the risk of being brokered down. [ Reply | More

Funnily enough, I think it was our PSD's LACK of connections that got DD into her school. The school is highly sought after, but because it is far from our home we never put it in our top 3. Collegiate posted their 2008 matriculation on the website. Brearley still has 2007 to 2003 or so data, but heard through the grapevine that B didn't have a good year this year. But to be fair, C is the only boys school that is TT and B has to share smart girls with 2 other TT SS schools.
