[ - ] Please bear with me and offer advice. Poor DD dropped a kitchen appliance on her big toe today. (She pulled it down off the shelf, but totally learned her lesson..."WHY? WHY? WHY DID I DO THAT???...I DON'T KNOW WHY I DID THAT!!!" she was sobbing to herself. She's on the couch with her foot propped up and watching TV (for the last hour and a half now) but it's still bleeding a little. My question is: should I give her a quick shower before bed? She was swimming today in camp and reeks of chlorine from the pool. 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

no, she was just in pain. but I felt so terrible hearing her say that. anyhow, we decided to do the shower (she said she wanted to) and I think she feels better now. My dd screamed like that at 12 mos b/c she had an ear infection. But if she doesn't seem sick, maybe she just didn't get enough sleep today; 30 mins doesn't sound like much at all. That is the biggest myth. TT prek doesn't help you get into TT private. Only a handfull of most $$$$$ families actually benefit from it who need the PSD to wink and nod to TT DOA ("yes, they contribute $$$"). Other kids are at the risk of being brokered down. [ Reply | More ]

Collegiate posted their 2008 matriculation on the website. Brearley still has 2007 to 2003 or so data, but heard through the grapevine that B didn't have a good year this year. But to be fair, C is the only boys school that is TT and B has to share smart girls with 2 other TT SS schools. So I suppose if we want to compare boys vs girls, then we have to add Spence and Chapin to the record. Chapin must be happy about 2008 bec they updated their data to include 2008. [ Reply | More ]
