My dd had viral encephalitis so, I know exactly how you feel. It interesting because my perspective on going through that experience is so opposite of yours. I honestly felt it was a blessing because she came out of the experience so differently. I had an equally terrifying experience with my husband and the same end result. Thanks. I wouldn't say I've chosen one over the other, I'm hoping to be able to do both, within reason (and no, my parents do not own the gallery I run, nor did they help me get my job in any way). I think going to a good girls school made me very self-sufficient and able to work hard to achieve my goals. Somewhat of the "militant fem ideals" but also a more modern approach.
