[ - ] Can anyone point me to websites that evaluate public schools in the burbs (looking at Westchester and Northern NJ)? Also, any really great private schools in the burbs? Expecting dc no. 4 so it's time to start thinking about moving on out. Thanks! 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I looked into private schools in CT and NY. Didn't seem like it's worth moving out and sending dc there. Didn't compare to NYC privates. Unless you're talking about Exeter, Andover.. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Take it from me, you cannot choose a bad school with all of these wonderful options in NYC. We are blessed with such a wealth of excellent schools. I would not say any of them are bad. That's right not BWL, not Hewiit, not Trevor. School choice or where our dcs land is about as significant in the grand scheme of life as the color shoes they wear to that school. Try to be kind. 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

He was stumbling tonight on spelling simple words like contractions, etc and I feel like such a fool for not choosing this better school right from the start. I thought I'd send him to the local Catholic school and I feel like it's been 3 wasted years. Honestly, I don't know what he's learned!!! 10 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

DH & I were young and poor until he hit the capital markets gravy train and we became independent. We still worked and saved. I never had help when I was in the house - sitter left when I came home.
