Maternity jeans start at 26, sometimes 25 but they are too big for me. Does anyone know a tailor in Manhattan who can sew a maternity panel into a regular pair of jeans? Apparently they need a special needle/machine. I've tried just the belly band and it's not for me. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

um, i don't think yoga pants can be worn as "all-purposely" as jeans. for op: do any maternity brands carry petites? you could try really low rise jeans and leave them unbuttoned with an elastic threaded throug belt loop and over button? [ Reply | More ]

of course they can't but maybe for now she could get the yoga pants, skirts, ect. She sounds tiny and can easily fit into reg. clothing that isn't going to be tight around the abdomen [ Reply | More ]

Remember you may also want to go one size up when buying maternity jeans anyway. I normally wear a 27 and the sales woman encouraged me to buy 28s. I thought she was crazy b/c the 28s were really big but now at 8 mos pg I realize there is no way I'd still be able to wear the 27s. I can barely wear the 28s. [ Reply | More ]

I'm on my last pair of jeans that have stretch in them I'm 16 weeks. Nothing is bigger except my belly so sizing up just makes me look like I'm wearing clown pants and I'm paranoid that the rubberband/hairband will end with me flashing people. [ Reply | More ]

you might be better off wearing long shirts to prevent flashing. i would have recommended the bella band, but you said it wasn't for you. you sound very small and panels will probably not hold your pants up. [ Reply | More ]
