they are supposed to help you set up the nursery so its ready when you come home. help you during the night feeds so you can rest and recover. basically everything baby related until you feel like your old self. but dont expect them to look after you or other kids or clean up the house. they get very annoyed. and expect to pay an arm and a leg. Are a picky eater too? DH? Most of the kids who I know who are picky eaters have parents who are the same. I would, if you don't already, take them to the library and get some kids cooking books, let them pick out recipes, and them cook them with you and sit down as a family and eat them.
