Can we talk kids and eating for a minute: Please don't flame- but my 9 yo and 5 yo are picky eaters. 9 yo refuses to eat meat anymore ( he used to) and 5 yo just refuses to try anything new. I'm so impressed when I see kids at a restaurant scarfing down their food. My kids would sooner starve. Any suggestions? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Are a picky eater too? DH? Most of the kids who I know who are picky eaters have parents who are the same. I would, if you don't already, take them to the library and get some kids cooking books, let them pick out recipes, and them cook them with you and sit down as a family and eat them. Make it a big event. I hear the Jessica Seinfeld book has recipes that kids and mom's like. Good luck! [ Reply | More ]

are you asking for suggestions on what to do in terms of cooking or are you asking for suggestions on how to get them to eat more foods? or are you just looking for someone to tell you this is totally normal and it's not a big deal? [ Reply | More ]
