overheard someone saying that "these parties are for the parents" at my 4 y/o's bday party. what did they mean by that? I was the last person I was thinking about when I planned that darn party. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

maybe that all the effort, money, details, etc are more for the parents since the kids would be just as happy to play a few games and eat cake and ice cream. try not to take it personally--i'm sure it was a nice party and we all do the same thing! [ Reply | More ]

i'm surprised b/c at 4yo, it's not for the parents anymore. at 1, 2, even 3yo, yes. but a 4yo wants a party with friends. [ Reply | More ]
