what can I expect a baby nurse to do? I am pg with #3 and I am thinking of getitng one for 2 or 3 weeks after baby is born but I am unsure exactly what they do and how it all works! TIA [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

they are supposed to help you set up the nursery so its ready when you come home. help you during the night feeds so you can rest and recover. basically everything baby related until you feel like your old self. but dont expect them to look after you or other kids or clean up the house. they get very annoyed. and expect to pay an arm and a leg. If I were having #3, I'd get a postpartum doula rather than a baby nurse. I know what to do with a baby, but it'd be nice to have someone around who can look after the other two, or make me some lunch, or do laundry, or run errands. [ Reply | More ]
