I didn't have ppd (saw therapist throughout pg and pp, no meds though did a lot of yoga). for me, I realized I wasn't ok with just one and I don't regret my decision. but it was tough to get to this point. gl with your decision [ Reply | More ]

For most (but not all) people, you won't get your period while on progesterone. But if it was only a home test that was negative on the day you expected your period, you might want to double check with your doctor before going off the progesterone. [ Reply | More ]

confirm with a blood test. many embyros implant late. this would mean your hcg level might be too low to detect on a pee stick. if blood test is negative then stop the progesterone and wait for your period for your next cycle. [ Reply | More ]

It is of course that parents play an important role in children’s preschool days. I’m too busy with my work to go to my daughter’s class, but I find some other ways to accelerate my daughter’s interest in studying, preparing her for primary school. I ordered some cute math and reading exercises of 1 grade on beestar.org. There are 2 exercises every week respectively. These exercises aren’t quite difficult, and they’re fine for preschool kids. I find my daughter loves them very much, and she is always so excited when she gets the ribbons. My daughter will enter the primary school next semester, and Preparing ahead of time will make her ease to deal with the curricula. Lisa [ Reply | More ]

I am a scarsdale mom- think you have to be one and understand the pool set up to be ok with this one. I've thrown 2 parties there- one for my son's 6th birthday and one for his 7th. Both were fabulous and easy. We did have assigned adults watching the kids when they went over to the pool area but that should be easy with 4 year olds- assume they won't drop off. We told everyone to bring their membership passes if they had and picked up the rest on our guest pass- it was fun- relatively inexpensive (as you know if you've looked into it). We ordered in pizza from elsewhere (amore but could use italian village) and just used o'neal's for drinks and wrap sandwich's and fruit for adults- did our own cake. one year made a mistake and had o'neal's hold our ice cream cake overnight and the melted it- the next year we went with a stop and shop whipped cream cake that couldn't be hurt! good luck. [ - ] Ethical Question: Our preschool class mother collects $10 per child per teacher (2 teachers in our class) for the end of the year gift. As a non-class mother, I was caught be two nannies and asked to give the money to the class mother. Not problem there, but one of the nannies gave me only 10 dollars (instead of 20). The nanny is new, and the child's mother has extended child care (she is a non-working "stay at home mom") who I have never seen. Do you think the mother mis-read the e-mail (which clearly stated: $20 per child ($10 per teacher)? OR Do you think the nanny took the extra $10 dollars? I think it's acceptable to email the mom and say "I'm sorry that I was confusing, but it was $10 per teacher." Make it sound like it was your fault, if it turns out the nanny kept the 10, then it's not your problem. Personally, I doubt that the nanny would chance it. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Any Cornell IVFers on? Want to switch RE and go there. How intensive is the testing before they let you do anything? Already have had a ton of tests done with current RE. Will they want to see that info or start from scratch. Male factor problems and recurrent miscarriage. 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I would have thought they would take your current tests. When I went there, all they wanted from me was a day 2 blood test to check FSH levels, which I had already had my OB run (and they accepted his results). [ Reply | More ]

actually, no. my IVF cycle got canceled b/c not enough eggs, did IUI unsuccessfully. next time they recommended just monitoring and doing IUI, but no egg that month, so we gave up and started thinking about adoption. Then, unexpectedly (we'd stopped "trying"), I found myself pg with #2 and she is a happy healthy 18 mo now. GL. [ Reply | More ]
