Both my dcs have slept for the first few months of life in a Moses basket but they could have gone straight into the crib. I liked being able to carry it around so the dcs could sleep wherever I was. I used the one with very thin lining which is not a suffocation hazard. I also only paid $30 new for it. [ Reply | More ]

The ones with plastic wheel are cheaper than the ones with pneumatic tyres. The steering lock is a good feature so that the front wheel can be locked in a straight line when being pushed. The ones with the s-shaped frames can accommodate a second seat if you have another dc. You can tell we've been through this. GL [ Reply | More ]

Talked to two different moms and realize that before they received the invite, they had planned on a mom/daughter outing to see the movie and they feel like they'd be missing out on some bonding if they don't see the movies with their dds. It's a movie. I did not intend to infringe upon their family time. I'm wishing they'd RSVPed no. 8 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I had one. It's not a walk in the park, I can tell you that. I am sorry if you are facing one. The d&c was worse than the recovery. My doc sedated me but it was a twilight sedation so I was up for the whole thing and then got sick from the sedative. Once I got past that and got home, it was like having an especially difficult period. The emotional stuff, before and after, was worse than the physical pain and discomfort. [ Reply | More ]

i had one 3 months ago at 8 weeks pg. the worst is knowing you have to have one. the procedule was a sinch. i was done in 15 min and the knocked me totally out. recovery was no problem - just had like a long, heavy period. like i said, the emotional toll is the worst. i didn't get my priod for 8+ weeks the first time and then 10 weeks later i was pg again. i am now 9 weeks pg! good luck. [ - ] my mother and i have had two giant fights over the last month. the previous fight happened last friday. the gist of the fights have been her telling me what i have done wrong as a mother to my two year old and calling me names. on friday, i really lost my cool with her and the conversation did not end well. today she called and left a message on my voicemail that she has to go in to the hospital to have a d&c because she has been taking hormones for menopause and having some problems. i am not sure what my reaction is supposed to be. i feel (and i may be cold hearted) that she is telling me this now to make me feel bad. how would you handle it? 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Ours are ongoing but irregular. We said on our ad we were looking for someone we could call on an ad-hoc basis and could not offer regular stints, so there were no demands for minimum hours etc. We said we pay $12 per hour. It's anonymous so why don't you just draft an ad saying exactly what you want, for how long, for how much, and see what comes back? Good luck. [ Reply | More ]
