I had one. It's not a walk in the park, I can tell you that. I am sorry if you are facing one. The d&c was worse than the recovery. My doc sedated me but it was a twilight sedation so I was up for the whole thing and then got sick from the sedative. Once I got past that and got home, it was like having an especially difficult period. The emotional stuff, before and after, was worse than the physical pain and discomfort. [ Reply | More

i had one 3 months ago at 8 weeks pg. the worst is knowing you have to have one. the procedule was a sinch. i was done in 15 min and the knocked me totally out. recovery was no problem - just had like a long, heavy period. like i said, the emotional toll is the worst. i didn't get my priod for 8+ weeks the first time and then 10 weeks later i was pg again. i am now 9 weeks pg! good luck.
