Is #1 a boy or a girl? My oldest was 3.5 years apart and for various reasons took it pretty hard. But it all works out. They are 2 & 6 now and get along well and like each other a lot. I don't think there's any "perfect" age difference. My brother & sister are 2 years apart and barely talk. My sister and I are 16 years apart and we're very, very close. A lot depends on the individual kids. I wouldn't stress over it too much. Jus tmake sure to make extra one-on-one time for the oldest when baby comes along. [ Reply | More ]

I don't mean funny snarky, but the imperious holier than thou nasty responses ? 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

[ - ] Does anyone have a kid ( 4 1/2) who just doesn't like to eat? for school ( and now camp) he barely eats his lunch. he is picky as it is, only eats things like yogurt, fruit, goldfish or pretzels, or cheese. that's about it. and maybe some milk ( a box, like a juice box). at home i feed him - which i know baby's him because everyone says he'll eat when he's hungry. but at camp, he'll come home w/ all the food still there, except maybe the milk. should i worry about this? ( by the way he is very big for his age - tall and thin - looks like he is six) 1 Reply [ Reply | Watch | More ]

my 3 yo is this way- just not that interested in food, and the other day brushed off her lunch by saying in an exasperated voice- "Mommy, please. I don't like food." But she does have days when she eats like a regular kid, and other days she eats almost nothing. Serve healthy food, make sure your ds is not eating/drinking something that is filling him up (like milk) and forget about it. And feeding him seems like a seriously bad idea. [ Reply | More ]

If it makes you feel better, scale back your regular routine until you're feeling more secure w/ your pg (after 1st trimester, maybe). Personally, I felt exercise kept me healthier mentally & physically during my pg, but I wasn't dealing w/ a past mc. You have to do what you feel is best for you. Congrats on your pg! This is what I did today. I usually run about 5 miles. I ran 2 1/2 today and then did the stair master to get in the same amount of time I normally would. Nice that my gyn is a runner and let me know she ran through all of her pregnancies. I actually feel pretty good while I am running. But, great idea ot scale bakc until I am feeling less anxious. if it's stressing you out, don't do your normal routine. just walk or something mellow like that. if you do mc again, you will blame yourself, even though it would most likely have nothing to do with that. peace of mind is a really valuable thing. [ Reply | More ]

You should definitely wait until you are done having babies. I think most plastic surgeons recommend getting to your ideal weight before the surgery, and if you happen to have diastasis insurance will often cover it. Worth looking into! [ Reply | More ]

Me too, but with two DDs. Almost 2, and almost 8 months. 2yr old napping, and 8mo watching Teletubbies. We usually go to park every morning, but today went pear-shaped. I feel guilty. Nope. A decent OB would never let you take the risk (too much bloodflow) and a good plastic surgeon knows you will be unhappy with the results. [ Reply | More ]
