So nervous about exercsiing while pg. I had a mc a few months ago and I htink that is why I am nervous. OB said it was fine but I can't shake the tense feeling. I should just get over it and keep up my normal routine, right? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

If it makes you feel better, scale back your regular routine until you're feeling more secure w/ your pg (after 1st trimester, maybe). Personally, I felt exercise kept me healthier mentally & physically during my pg, but I wasn't dealing w/ a past mc. You have to do what you feel is best for you. Congrats on your pg! This is what I did today. I usually run about 5 miles. I ran 2 1/2 today and then did the stair master to get in the same amount of time I normally would. Nice that my gyn is a runner and let me know she ran through all of her pregnancies. I actually feel pretty good while I am running. But, great idea ot scale bakc until I am feeling less anxious. np - it is funny how we make connections between thing that are not always related. Do whatever makes you feel best. I agree with OR, you will feel better if you keep some kind of exercise routine. [ Reply | More ]

if it's stressing you out, don't do your normal routine. just walk or something mellow like that. if you do mc again, you will blame yourself, even though it would most likely have nothing to do with that. peace of mind is a really valuable thing. [ Reply | More ]

do whatever it takes to reduce your anxiety- if that means putting your feet up for 3 months (or 9 months), that's fine. [ Reply | More ]

take nice walks, go swimming. if your nervous, don't over do it. i excercised while pregnant, but definitely took it down a few levels. enjoy every minute of your pregnancy and if that means taking it easy b/c of nerves, then take it easy... [ Reply | More ]
