[ - ] Here's my rant for the day....We have an office water cooler that is shared by about 20 people. People will use the water cooler until the reserve is completly empty and walk away without changing the bottle. I change that dang bottle about 3 times a week and the water is then warm when I get it b/c it hasn't been in the reserve! Why are people sooooo rude??? 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I use medula (sp?) I pumped into the medula bottles and poured into the bags because it was easier. pumping is not always easy give yourself time and don't feel pressured. how often will you need to pump for occasional feedings or while working [ Reply | More ]

Occasional feedings... for getting out on a date, etc. I just want to have a baby that will take a bottle occassionally. I have so many friends that tried to leave db at home for the night but db would NOT take a bottle! So I want to do a couple times a week in a bottle. Now I know I am going to sound dumb here (this is my 1st time though) what kind of bags did you store it in? Ziploc? I was thinking of getting a medela too [ Reply | More ]

They have ziploc type bags but I would use the bottles that come with the pump. If you just want to pump occasionally did it in the morning and store it up in the freezer. If you have dh feed db pump out that feeding. It is a pain but worth it. [ Reply | More ]

I never used them for feeding I liked playtex. You can put the bottles in the freezer but then you need alot of bottles. started looking on the internet there are a lot of storage options. You'll find one that works for you. I used storage bags they are cheap. [ Reply | More ]

use medela rental pump and bags, dr browns bottles when small, now any. [ Reply | More ]

The medela rental pump is overkill for the occasional bottle--also costs like $80 per month. A cheap battery or electric pump will do just fine if this is all it's for. FWIW, if I were OP and really just doing this a few times a month, I'd give formula. An occasional bottle's not going to make any difference at all. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Frustrated. My 2 y.o. is going through a terrible sleeping phase. It's a convergence of many things: her older siblings' schedules, new sleeping arrangements, molars coming in. I know it will get better but I made the mistake of complaining to a friend with only one two y.o. and she told me I needed to "lay down the law and get her to bed earlier." I very nicely explained that life is different w/3 than it is w/one but she wouldn't accept that some things are beyond your control (or not worth taking control over?) and acted like I am a slacker mom who is getting what I deserve. 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

It's a cute idea. Funny though, at DD's preschool the ones going like gangbusters are all the girls. It's a co-op and the boys all stay very close to their moms and play quietly w/ trucks or in the sand. The girls are the ones squealing, getting naked, splashing, running around, mixing it up. I don't know for sure. I've never been pg. My problem was high FSH (diminished ovarian reserve). We did one IVF but it was a huge failure so they started pushing DE and then we switched to adoption. What are your other options? Would they do a different drug protocal w/ the iui? They will/should retest you to look at your hormone levels, etc. That's when they caught my high FSH--it hadn't shown up before. The fact that you have gotten pg before is a good thing. I'm sorry about the FSH. I don't know much about that, I've only had 1 FSH level taken and it came back normal. I was on Femara (my doctor thinks it's better than Chlomid) and a HCG trigger shot before each IUI, however, I was ovulating from my right ovary each month, so the chances were really low. We didn't know about the blocked tube until after the last IUI when they decided to do a HSG(?) test. After the test, my doctor referred me to an RE. BTW, I'm 31. DH and I haven't really looked at alternatives yet. We talked a little about adoption, but nothing serious yet... [ Reply | More ]

Anyway you slice it, it's just such a hard thing to deal with. I was 31 when we started ttc. The thing with the FSH is the number changes every month and you're only as good as your worse number (which is the highest one). I got a very high one the month we started IVF, so we knew the outlook wasn't good. But we switched right to adoption and now I've got two fantastic kids--absolutely the kids who were supposed to be with us. I'm very, very lucky. Hang in there. [ Reply | More ]
