[ - ] 3 yo dd is in a wedding this Sept and I was just talking to the maid of honor (who has no kids btw), and she was like, "is she actually going to be there?" WTF! It made me so mad! I already have cleared everything with the bride! 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I think water weight and bloating kind of mess with the weigh ins... I'm envious of you. I had to get an orthopedic belly brace because I'm already in pain. [ Reply | More ]

The daughters seem to think my 19 month old has emotional problems b/c he is so grouchy all the time. I have learned (since he is #2) that this is a challenging age that they will grow out of. Anyway, since one care provider is a nurse and the other a speech therapist they always want to suggest that i ask my doc if there is a problem. i did ask my doc. and he confirmed what i thought it is a stage and he will grow out of it.... i dont appreciate the 'grumpy old man' comments but don't have the nerve to tell them to stop. ok vent over. 24 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

We have to start paying attention and educating oursleves on the topic. Read some books, see how many young males are medicated in the US compared to other countries. Stand up to "authority". Band together. Stop throwing around the terms, she has issues, or her ds has anger issues like its candy. MY goodness - did anyone read the ny times magazine article this week? it isn't that bad. give the older one time. if you are feeding the db, read to older dc. just make sure that as people fawn over the db, you pay attention to older dc too. no need to bribe or do gifts from younger dc to older, just show him love and talk to him. the advice about it is younger sib's turn to be a db is great, same with showing pictures of when older dc was a db (my older dc LOVED to see pictures from being a db). I would do the connection myself, just to avoid the L.A. area airports and then the traffic trying to get to Palm Springs. [ - ] Everything my almost 3 year old says is very LOUD. His hearing has tested fine with the doctor. Is this normal? I am not a loud person at all. 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I have a loud child too. I also can be loud (but as an adult, know when not to). It will cause you problems when dc goes to school. The teachers will not like it and will contantly tell dc to "use their inside voice", then they will punish. So, you can either accept your kid is loud and warn them, or start trying to break dc of it now (good luck) [ Reply | More ]
