you are pregnant/sensitive and hormonal..read this a year or two after dc is born and you will laugh. seriously, not being sarcastic I was soooo touchy when I was pregnant and now realize it was all hormones. the 'zits' are worth it considering what you are going to get in the end. [ Reply | More ]

I am like you. Acne, plus "the mask" of pregnancy as they call it. As I call it, a bunch of brown splotches on my forehead and cheeks. So attractive. [ Reply | More ]

17 weeks with twins. The only resources I read say it all goes away after you have the baby. [ Reply | More ]

Congrats to you too!!! I was on clomid, and so there was a small possibility of us having twins, and while my dh is relieved it isn't I was kind of sad. I always thought twins would be SO much fun!!! Good Luck!!! I have a bil and sil that are twins and they are very close, it is neat seeing them together. [ Reply | More ]

We're excited for the twins...we actually had the possibility of three, I was on Gonal F and had an IUI with three mature follicles. So, we're pretty relieved it isn't three. What is your official due date? [ Reply | More ]

I'm a newbie as well. Dec. 25 is due date, but they think we'll deliver early December. I was so sick at first, I didn't gain any weight for the first three months. But now I am really showing. I'm measuring 3-4 weeks ahead of my pregnancy...totally in maternity clothes. How about you? [ Reply | More ]

I have had a few off days of not feeling well but mostly just tired, really tired! I am just barely beginning to show but am wearing maternity clothes for comfort!! As of 15 wks I had gained 5 lbs (that was Tuesday) but this morning it was 8... I hope that was a fluke from going out and having cake and stuff for a birthday last night. I wanted to die at thought that I could have gained 3lbs in 2 days. [ Reply | More ]

It sounds like you're doing great. I'm up around 15 now. And it just crept up on me. I did weigh in 5 lbs heavier in one week at the doc's office and freaked out until I realized I had just downed 2 1/2 32 oz bottles of Dasani. (It was a really hot day.) I think water weight and bloating kind of mess with the weigh ins... I'm envious of you. I had to get an orthopedic belly brace because I'm already in pain. [ Reply | More ]

Yeah, but you are carrying twins and 2 weeks farther along than me!!! Imagine me gaining 3lbs every 2 days by the time I get to 17 wks I will be up like 30lbs LOL!!! How sad.. that BETTER not happen in 2 wks time! I agree about the water weight and bloating!! Does the belly brace help? I have never heard of them, what do they do? Have you felt them move yet? Oh, I was going to tell you that I am not tired anymore. I went from exhausted to having energy overnight. The brace helps, although it looks like I work at Home Depot. Ha! I just wear a cami under it and another shirt/cardi/dress over it. I feel them move all the time...mostly like butterflies or little bubbles. No kicking or anything yet. Started around 11 or 12 weeks. You? [ Reply | More ]

NOPE I haven't felt any movement :( One of my friends said they didn't feel it till like 25 wks, I hope I don't have to wait that long! Do you live in NY? [ Reply | More ]

No, I live in Kansas City (of all places)...downtown in a condo. And all my friends just want to know when we're going to move to the 'burbs. Trying to find a place with moms-to-be who actually think like me. [ Reply | More ]

Nice. I am self-employed, I do freelance consulting work (PR, political campaigns, etc.) so I am planning to continue to work but probably part-time. Home Depot has great benefits!!! Ha! [ Reply | More ]

I don't think I will, I never finished college (my dh went into med school so I worked instead of finishing school to avoid more loans) so I have no real skills in doing something I would enjoy more than staying home. Plus now that dh is done with school he is FINALLY making an income (small, but at least it is something till we are done with residency in 5.5 years, UGH) [ Reply | More ]

Hey you will be able to combine it into a christmas card! yeah! 2 birds, one stone! Aren't you excited we will be fat and pregnant for the holidays so we can eat to our hearts content without feeling bad, lol!! [ Reply | More ]

Sounds like a great plan to me. It is a hard decision. I go back and forth all the time. I hope that part-time will make me feel involved enough in my career but fulfilled with the babies. Good luck to you. I am off to a meeting. [ Reply | More ]
