Have to fly from NYC to Palm Springs, CA w/ 5 mo db (db's 1st flight, dh will be w/ us). No non-stop service, so options are: 1) fly to an LA area airport (e.g. Long Beach) and then drive 2-2.5 hrs, or 2) fly to Palm Springs w/ a connection (e.g. in Denver or Dallas). Which will be less horrible w/ db, do you think? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I would do the connection myself, just to avoid the L.A. area airports and then the traffic trying to get to Palm Springs. But you should consider the size of the plane that will be landing in Palm Springs; it's likely a small plane-- are you freaked out by puddle jumper-type planes? [ Reply | More ]

I think if I go thru Denver or Dallas it will be a 747, if I change at LAX it's a puddle-jumper...so I'd do the former. So you think that avoiding LA/traffic is worth doing 2 take-offs and landings (w/ related ear pressure for db)? [ Reply | More ]
