Do you ever get the sneaking suspicion that your therapist dislikes you? I sit there and spill everything that I need to spill, all the things I normally hide, and I can feel her sometimes not really liking me. I don't say anything really bad - it is just the sort of complaining that you are supposed to reserve for a therapist. Anyone else have this experience? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I would switch therapists. Even if this feeling is part of your insecurities, a good therapist would be working double to ensure you didn't feel that way/get that vibe [ Reply | More

There is a difference between "dislikes you" and dislikes what you say. I think my therapist likes me, but she disagrees with this and that and asks tough questions. Sometimes that is hard too, but I appreciate it. I don't like therapist who say yes, yes, yes and aren't honest. If you think she genuinely dislikes YOU, then you might look for somebody else. i think its a bit of a female thing going on. and it bothers me how much she seems to like my husband. :) seriously! i just feel like she always thinks he is the good guy and i am the problem. it is just a sneaking suspicion now...but it is always there after a session... [ Reply | More

mine has a really hard time keeping a straight face sometimes, and I'm not trying to be funny! I always know when she wants to crack up but knows she shouldn't because she grabs her bottle of water and pretends she's focusing on drinking it. And she's totally struggling to keep a straight face. It would be better honestly if she would laugh- I mean I can see the humor in these ridiculous life situations of mine too. [ Reply | More
