Thanks you guys!!!! Hey also what breast pump did you use and is it easy? For the person who stored the bm in bags does the pump just pump it into the bags? [ Reply | More ]

I use medula (sp?) I pumped into the medula bottles and poured into the bags because it was easier. pumping is not always easy give yourself time and don't feel pressured. how often will you need to pump for occasional feedings or while working [ Reply | More ]

Occasional feedings... for getting out on a date, etc. I just want to have a baby that will take a bottle occassionally. I have so many friends that tried to leave db at home for the night but db would NOT take a bottle! So I want to do a couple times a week in a bottle. Now I know I am going to sound dumb here (this is my 1st time though) what kind of bags did you store it in? Ziploc? I was thinking of getting a medela too [ Reply | More ]

They have ziploc type bags but I would use the bottles that come with the pump. If you just want to pump occasionally did it in the morning and store it up in the freezer. If you have dh feed db pump out that feeding. It is a pain but worth it. [ Reply | More ]

So just pump into the bottles and can you put the bottles into the freezer if you won't use them that day? did you like the medela bottles for feeding? [ Reply | More ]

I never used them for feeding I liked playtex. You can put the bottles in the freezer but then you need alot of bottles. started looking on the internet there are a lot of storage options. You'll find one that works for you. I used storage bags they are cheap. [ Reply | More ]

The medela rental pump is overkill for the occasional bottle--also costs like $80 per month. A cheap battery or electric pump will do just fine if this is all it's for. FWIW, if I were OP and really just doing this a few times a month, I'd give formula. An occasional bottle's not going to make any difference at all. [ Reply | More ]
