I'm a travel agent. many hotel rooms can accommodate a family of 5. Two queen beds and usually a sofa bed or day bed in the room. I know Disney has this in all their deluxe resorts. It's when you're a family of 6 and the baby is too old for a crib that you need to have two rooms. [ Reply | More ]

Not doing dirt exactly, but we were thinking of putting a plant in it. (Meaning a plant that's in one of those plastic pots...putting the pot directly in the planter. Then if they want, they can replant at home and add more (a lot more) dirt. Maybe we don't want terra cotta (they're heavy, right)? I'm so not a gardener. [ Reply | More ]

np: I have to say that this is not my experience. Most of the social workers I have worked with, I have to NAG them to help me get my child more services. My old social worker at SN preschool and I had some historic fights about after-school therapy: she kept telling me I was going to damage dc, who "had enough to deal with" at school, existing therapies, etc. She was wrong! But she made me really upset. [ Reply | More ]

clearly the wohm should be allowed the most, as she has the most to juggle - the career, the family and the commute [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Do friends let friends buy houses with radiant ceiling heating? I don't mean radiant *floor* heating, I mean radiant "ceiling" heating. Anyone familiar with this type of heating system? Last I knew, hot air always rises :-) 12 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

The only place I've ever seen this was in a single finished room in an unfinished basement. It was basically a radiator suspended from a ceiling and attached to the hot water pipe that ran across the ceiling. Weird. Do you think it was a typo/she misspoke? [ Reply | More ]

How does radiant ceiling heating work? The source of heat is on the ceiling, not the floor. [ Reply | More ]
