[ - ] On a lighter note- dumb act of the day for MIL. She put my fresh pasta in the pantry. When I saw it I said, oh no! And she said she never saw this kind of past before and acted like I was so extravagant for purchasing it! Lord, get me through the next two weeks. 40 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I think my parents have probably never seen fresh pasta before either...they rarely eat pasta and when they have, it's always from a box. I love fresh pasta, but don't buy it very often...it is more expensive. That all said, I think that if the pasta fiasco is making you dread spending time with her, then you are really in for some HELL when a REAL issue comes up. Good luck! [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Have serious issue with work-was told by my new regional mgr to "get my priorities in order" because she is concerned with me being able to meet my goals for the year because I have an 8 month old. Came back from maternity leave in Dec, and work in a commission based job. Have not fallen behind, in fact, am exactly on point to meet goals for the year, and work from home one or two days a week; by that, I am actually working from home, have a babysitter who comes in and watches dd for 6 hours on days I am home. I want to go to HR but she is a spiteful person and has been known to do malicious things to get back at people. Real peach, huh? She could directly affect my husbands work- he contract works for my company as well, and she could cut him off. WWYD? Sorry for the length. 9 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I did, and said if she feels there is something I should be doing differently, I would appreciate her advice, she told me to be more dedicated and flexible with my work schedule. I would find a new job, asap. Fact is, there are managers like this out there-- often they are women-- and once they get these thoughts in their heads, you're screwed. You know that your first priority will always be your family, but that even so, you're doing a completely professional job and do not deserve extra scrutiny. But that doesn't matter b/c she's got a bee in her bonnet. I'd quit ASAP. [ Reply | More ]
