You should definitely avoid dairy during and eveen a bit after diarrhea. All the diarrhea sloughs away the brush border of the small intestine which contains lots of digestive enzymes. It takes some time for them to regenerate. Until that occurs you are effectively lactose intolerant. Signed, MD mom. [ Reply | More ]

I am so pissed off b/c they did not give her a nap at all, she is 2 and needs one, she came back filthy and with a huge hannah montana tattoo on her leg. Tonight was the hardest night I have ever ha with her b/c she was so tired. She was fighting me, kicking, hitting, screaming! DH is away in the military so I have to deal with this on my own. you're not overreacting, but if they're babysitting for free, you can't dictate too much, other than things involving her health. she missed her nap but it won't kill her. you can say something like, "Jane gets really grumpy when she doesn't nap. Can you try to put her down at 2?" But don't mention it now -- mention it when you're dropping her off next time... [ Reply | More ]
