I think they are really cheesy. The first thing I did when I moved into my house is rip out the ceiling fan and put in a beautiful light fixture. The couple before us had at least bothered to go with a "colonial/antiqued" looking fan to sort-of match our old colonial house in Boston (though colonial houses didn't have ceiling fans). Get some Calmol suppositories. They have them behind teh counter at the pharmacy but you don't need an Rx. A gastroenterologist sugg'd them to me when I had anal fissures when I was pg with #1 (nightmare!) and they are fantastic. Put one in at night and in the morning after bm.
