Does anyone on here use a nannycam? And if so, did you tell her first. We plan to hire a nanny, and I'd feel better about just being up front and making it more of a deterrent/evaluation tool/way to see the baby during the day thing than wait for something to go wrong. But is that misguided? TIA. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Misguided. You either trust her or you don't. Not horrible if you don't trust her, but telling her that is not going to set up a great relationship. I think all nannies assume there could be a nannycam, just like I assume my employer is reading my emails. If you get a a nannycam, do it incognito. [ Reply | More ]

^^BTW, I know some of you are anti-cam, but I'm not asking that. I don't think not getting a anny cam is an option. We have to have a nanny, and as a child I had a babysitter recommended by a TON of family friends in the neighborhood tape my mouth shut with duct tape as child. My mother came home early and caught her. [ Reply | More ]
