Was I just missing something? My MIL is very pro-Israel and very into Israel as an issue. She's upset about the college my niece goes to b/c it's not Zionist enough for her tastes. I mentioned to DH that Israel was a non-issue at my college and he said that it was a political issue at his school. Was I just asleep or are there places where people just don't think about it so much? I'm Jewish but not from the northeast. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think that certain universities have a reputation one way or the other, but it is hard to tell if the student bodies are overall on one side of the spectrum, or the professors, or just a few people who have made the news etc, but overall most people are neither 'Zionist' or "pro-Palestinian".
