It gets harder in NYC once you are 6 or so. No back yard for running around, can't ride your bike on the street. No friends or community pool. No basement that is cooler than the rest of the house. [ Reply | More ]

Call the New York State Commissioner of Book Clubs, Literature and Literacy Affairs for a guidebook. Then fill out the and become a certfied book club organize and promoter. I have been in a book club with very good friends for about a year now. It's a great way to stay in touch & at the same time keep your brain from turning to mush!Whoever has the next birthday picks the book & hosts for the night. It also helps me to open up my horizons since I would never pick a lot of the books on my own.At first we were doing one book a month, but that was a little stressful,so now it's about every 6 weeks or so. You can say it's fake, but it is indeed true. I thought it was insane at the time. In fact, I suspected that he might be getting a kick-back from the community college. I posted earlier on a similar topic, but my counselro told me that I could "probably" get into a state school. I applied to 13 colleges and universities I was so upset and worried and wanted to get out of my state. I ended up getting into virtually every school I applied to including Ivy, Sisters, and others like Northwestern and such and while I was certainly relieved, I was also pissed that this schmo was in charge of this for others...
