[ - ] our 19 mo ds was recently diagnosed with pdd, apraxia and motor dyspraxia. he needs intensive therapy. anyone have any idea if insurance will cover some of early intervention in NJ (not covered here- based on sliding scale). That, in addition to private therapy (which is a fortune and some therapists don't take insurance), should be enough to really hurt us financially. any advice or suggestions? obviously, we want the best for our ds but we need to stay afloat as well. thanks. 3 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

College placement has more to do with the student than the school. Honestly, people, just because your kid is in a good prep school doesn't mean they will be able to just coast into a good college. MOST of those matriculated into those colleges, by the way, came from regular public schools. [ Reply | More ]

Been there. I pumped for 7 months until it was just out. You've got to 1) get an Lactation Consultant even though they are expensive and 2) if I had to do it over again, I would rent a hospital grade pump. You want to keep your supply up as much as you possibly can while you are still establishing. Worst case scenario: baby will learn to suck and swallow over time, but not if you don't have anything left to feed. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] DD and I are going to the beach today with my new bf. I'm so nervous b/c I think that I'm going to end up meeting his parents for the first time. Goodness, I normally wouldn't care, but I really like this guy. What should I do or say? I have no clue what to talk about. 1 Reply [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Just be yourself. If you can't think of things to talk about just ask them about themselves it's often someones favorite topic. GL and have fun [ Reply | More ]

Something for you in case he falls asleep. I always plan for her and the one time she fell asleep, I stared at the puzzle for 4 hours. [ Reply | More ]

Reduce the feeds in length by a few mins a time over a few days before stopping completely and it might help to drop one feed at a time father than all in one go. Also if you still get engorged tehn hand express off just enough to make yourself comfortable. You body will adjust over a few days. GL [ Reply | More ]
