[ - ] Anyone's kid ever have Cocksackie Virus or Hand, Foot and Mouth? Ped says it's going around and that 18mo dd is pretty much over it, but I looked it up and am pretty grossed out! Also, DH and I have had sore throats now for 3 days, and I have also had Diarrhea for 2 days... Blech! Ped says we didn't get anything from her, but I can't believe that... 3 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

op: thanks both of you! This all coincided with her getting in four molars this weekend - so that was SUPER fun! I read that if pregnant women get this, it is dangerous - maybe it goes by a different name, but it think it is definitely related... I guess it was actually a pretyt mild case, b/c she was a little cranky and wouldn't eat at all and had a high-ish fever for a few days in a row, but didn't seem in too much actual pain. Dr. said saw red blisters (as opposed to white) in back of throat, which meant was healing. [ Reply | More ]

First off, I am not "making her work" at all. She has the freedom to take this job or not. I am asking her to work that and it is her decision if she would like. Plus how does 1.5 hours of OT turn out to $105/day. Even if she makes time and a half that is 45$ a day. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] My 21 mo ds has been complaining of a "tummyache" for almost two weeks. It started at the same time he had a virus (fever followed by a rash), but all the other symptoms disappeared a while ago. It seems to be connected to gas - he'll say "tummyache," then crouch down or lie on the floor and then (often) pass gas or poop. He's never had that kind of problem before (gas and pooping never bothered him). It seemed to be better yesterday, but today it's worse again, and now I've missed my chance to go to the ped before the 3 day weekend. Anyone else have experience with this? Could it just be something he's eating? It doesn't seem to follow milk consumption, but he does eat/drink a lot of dairy, so I guess it's possible. 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Could he also be saying it out of habit? Does he look unwell or is he off his food? Have his stools changed (not that I'm a Dr or anything)? [ Reply | More ]

yes my son had a virus when he was maybe 2, a bad stomach virus. i kept thinking it was better, and then he would get sick again ( diahrhea). he would be fine for a day and then get it. the dr. said sometimes there stomachs are still healing from the virus and milk could irritate it ( he drinks a lot of milk) so i switched to soy milk and he got better. eventually i added regular milk back to his diet, but now he drinks both [ Reply | More ]
