[ - ] I look like shit. Hair full of coconut oil to condition after a weekend in the sun. No make up. Old ratty T-shirt with jog bra underneath. Kids in the same fashion mode. Of course, we ran to the grocery store and ran into everyone we wouldn't want to run into. Ick. 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

[ - ] 4mos BF DS all of a sudden started refusing all bottles and pacifiers. He used to switch with no problem, now it's mommy on-tap or nada. This is becoming a major problem bc I can't leave him with anyone for more than 2 hrs. What happened? 4 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

He's gotten fussy. That said, it's okay for you to leave him more than 2 hours. Same thing happened to me and my dc. Ped said dc would eat if hungry, won't starve if dc went on strike for a few hours and it would not harm dc. [ Reply | More ]

he's getting smarter! Here is the thing.....he needs to get a bottle every 2 days from someone who is *not* you. And you need to leave the house while this is happening until db gets back on track. He may never love the bottle, but you need to do this for your sanity. [ Reply | More ]

op: tell me about it. I left him with MIL and he cried on/off for 4 hrs while I got my hair done and didn't eat until I got home. MIL almost had a break down and is hesitant to sit again. DH has tried to give a bottle, even bought 5 different nipples to try, with no success. [ Reply | More ]

I bled for a few days - but it stopped - which was normal for me - but my period didn't come back (usually it did after a day or two of no bleeding) after two days of no bleeding I took pg test and was pos - and yes I had to take progesterone to keep pg. now I have a beautiful 3 mo old baby boy. This happened to me! I had already tested positive (was doing IUI), then started bleeding heavily. Everyone assumed I was miscarrying (again), but then found a sac when they did an ultrasound the next week to check whether I needed a D&C. THANK GOD I didn't agree to the D&C right away the week before! [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] Please no flames. Ten years ago Dh and I were in serious drug therapy. He for cocaine and me for alcohol and cocaine. We stopped for three years before trying for first DC. Now we want a second but DH relapsed two weeks before we conceived. I am 8 weeks pg and am worried about the effects of the drugs in DHs system the night we conceived. He is totally clean but I am SO SO worried about DB. Anyone have any insight into this, experience or medical knowledge? 22 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

no idea but I've read somewhere (I think the NYT) that a lot of countries are shutting down international adoptions. The article recommended to go with an agency that handles them for a lot of countries, so you won't be out of luck if the country decides half-way through the process to stop allowing foreign adoptions. I have strabismis. With young kids they sometimes give them a patch over their "good" (not crossing) eye to help train the "bad" one, or glasses. Not really a big deal at all, many children outgrow it in time [ Reply | More ]

I have something very similar, although it's barely noticeable and it's called "Duane's Syndrome." I thought my dd had inherited it from me so I took her to Emily Ceisler (partner of Mark Steele) when dd was around 13 mos. Turns out dd doesn't have it. My parents told me I could have had surgery when I was 2 yo, but they opted against it, since mine is a mild form. [ Reply | More ]
