A hernia, we think. We haven't gone in for our initial consult yet, and our ped isn't sure that it is a hernia, but thinks that there is a problem. Our baby is 3 months old and we're really nervous about all of this. [ Reply | More ]

OP: I wondered about that. Ds had an OT tutor because his fine motor was a problem and she helped him sit and behave but absolutely NO real prep, meaning no blocks, no coding, nothing outside the OT, ordinary play and serious reading -- he's been reading since 3. Are we doomed? [ Reply | More ]

he had a huge disparity in development--reading at first or second grade level at 4 but could not hold a pen. His 2yo sister could draw better than he could and he was getting really frustrated but refused to let me help him. This made the most sense to help him get over his aggravation. Makes sense to me and sure I an paranoid. We did nothing wrong but it could be construed otherwise. [ Reply | More ]

Technically the ages don't match up. But she's a good singer & actress and is great in the part. I remember seeing the Indiana Jones movie earlier this summer. It is so refreshing to see Karen Allen--a 56 y.o.--who looks her age, but in a really good way. And she's playing opposite a man who's age appropriate for her. But I'm sure some people saw it and thought "yuck" because it is such a (sadly) unusual bit of casting. [ Reply | More ]
