I have PCOS. Used Clomid to conceive #1 - took about 1 yr of TTC. Conceived #2 totally unmedicated (and totally unplanned :-)) when #1 was 13 mos. I've had very few PCOS symptoms post PG #2 (DS is 3.5). [ Reply | More ]

We live in the neighborhood so it couldn't be more convenient. I just haven't heard anything about it so it is nice to hear you really like it. HOw are the teachers? parents etc? What schools do the kids go to from there? Do most stay on to Dwight? Thanks in advance! [ Reply | More ]

Sorry, I'm just checking back now a few days later. I hope you still see this. Parents - great overall. Our year has a bunch of extremely nice parents, our teachers have been very very good. Also, when there are problems, the school is very responsive and works to fix the problems and improve them, which is huge. Exmissions - it's about 1/3 Dwight, 1/3 public and 1/3 other public schools. No pressure at all to go to Dwight, although it's a nice option to have, given the crazy environment these days. Other privates include a range from "TT" SS schools to downtown co-eds. [ Reply | More ]

Do you work for Woodside/Dwight or are you a parent? Seems strange that a parent would have so much information about the school. You mentioned about the school being responsive and works to fix the problems. We actually had a very personal issue with our dc and they did not help us. In fact they didn't do anything. I was frustrated with how they handled our problem and it seemed like they were trying to avoid it. Therefore, you are wrong when you state that the school is responsive. In my experience, they were not. [ Reply | More ]

I'm the OR from above and, yes, I am a parent, not someone who works for the school. Are you the OP or someone who has a particular issue with the school? I can think of three situations off the top of my head where the school was very responsive to issues / concerns. I'm sorry your experience wasn't positive, but I can definitely say that mine and that of the people I know well is extremely positive. [ Reply | More ]

I'm a parent, and everything I've mentioned is common knowledge. Are you the OP or someone who has a problem with the school? I don't know about your situation, but I can think of three specific examples where there were concerns / issues, and the school was very responsive and addressed those problems. I don't know the particulars of your situation, but from everything I have seen, the teachers and administration are extremely reasonable and responsive. [ Reply | More ]

Terrible!! A lot of turn over at the preschool. Teachers are not all that experienced. We applied out to another school and know plenty of parents that did the same after their first year. A lot of time is spent outdoors in the playground and the gym. Yes, children should have time to exercise but not for most of the school day. Yes, some families are nice and some are not. You will find some constantly complaining and they always get their way. The school doesn't know how to set strict guidelines and stand by them. It seems like there are always exceptions. Definitely do your homework and don't settle going to this school. You will feel and see the difference! [ Reply | More ]
