interpret please: erb tester said ds was excited at first but settled down pretty quickly and was really on-point. What does on-point mean? Rhat he wasn't a lunatic or that he actually did okay? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

are you a tester? That is very much their language. No indication of how he did but atkeast it seems like he paid attention and followed directions. [ Reply | More ]

he ran down the hallway at the erb not once but twice. They had to send seone to retrieve him and I could seiously hear him exclaiming in the room. Trust me I am asking [ Reply | More ]

Everything she said sounds positive. Meaning, he was wild at first but focused and did his job. [ Reply | More ]

I could hear my dc in the room, too. The hall running (2x) is going to be in the notes. Even with high score, you've got to hope school report and playdates show him as a slightly calmer kid. [ Reply | More ]

I can live with a report that says he is exuberant but can settle down. That is accurate and should reflect what happens in playdates. [ Reply | More ]

My dc's tester didn't really smile and said "she finished her work". 99x3. [ Reply | More ]

she always does. my guess is that tester suspected prepping, and didn't want to be enthusistic. [ Reply | More ]

Always does? Doubt my dc is the only kid with this score. No prep. No prep suspected. Got into multiple tts. Sorry to disappoint, Bitter Better. [ Reply | More ]

on point is a code word for "this kid has been prepped...knows exactly what he is doing." [ Reply | More ]

OP: I wondered about that. Ds had an OT tutor because his fine motor was a problem and she helped him sit and behave but absolutely NO real prep, meaning no blocks, no coding, nothing outside the OT, ordinary play and serious reading -- he's been reading since 3. Are we doomed? [ Reply | More ]

np; i think you are paranoid or have cause to worry bec of prepping. I can't believe you'd hire a tutor for his fine motor skills. [ Reply | More ]

he had a huge disparity in development--reading at first or second grade level at 4 but could not hold a pen. His 2yo sister could draw better than he could and he was getting really frustrated but refused to let me help him. This made the most sense to help him get over his aggravation. Makes sense to me and sure I an paranoid. We did nothing wrong but it could be construed otherwise. [ Reply | More ]

not doomed, but on point sounds like prep code. don't worry, i know someone who got "the dc seemed familiar with the testing process" and still got TT [ Reply | More ]

I don't think that's right. I think "on point" means "attentive to task." [ Reply | More ]

I agree, I don't think they suspected prepping. But what do the testers write in the report when they do suspect tutoring/prepping? [ Reply | More ]
