Chronic nipple pain while nursing and since I stopped nursing about 3 years ago. I'd nursed DS for 14 months and pumped regularly with a double pump while working full time. I did experience weekly blocked ducts for about 6 months until I stopped taking Fenugreek and let my body regulate itself. To this day my nipples always feel sunburned and overly sensitive. Heat/cold is irrelevant as is clothing. Anyone have this experience? I've consulted MDs, lactation consultants, even the nice Canadian MD who specializes in lactation problems to no avail. I was told perhaps Reynaud's but I have no color changes and again, heat/cold makes no difference. Nice offers of painkillers I don't want. If I had another child I'd definitely nurse again. Please no flames pro or con nursing, that's not what this is about. Many thanks. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I was treated for thrush 3 years ago, but didn't see any evidence of it then either. Can it be invisible and ongoing for years? Yikes. [ Reply | More ]
