ITTTA! I am an only and loved being an only. I do want more than one child, but that's because I love being a mom, not because my ds needs a sibling. I can't wait to see him with a sib. I think in the same way that people with siblings feel they need to give their child "someone" some onlies (like myself) almost feel guilty giving their children a sibling because it means they won't have parents to themselves. (Not saying one is better than the other, just that people tend to think their situation growing up should be their children's situation. ) [ Reply | More ]

Interesting point. I have an older brother who never married, lives with my parents and is pretty dependent on them. I love my parents and my brother but I think it would be sad for my parents if they didn't have the experience of my being married with children. You can't predict who your children will be in some ways nor whether siblings will have close relationships. It is all so uncertain. I suppose you choose what feels right and makes your family feel complete, whatever that is. [ Reply | More ]

One mom had her 2 yo ds and a 4ish dd completely naked, playing in there. There were men (mostly dads) all around, so I thought it was so inappopriate to have a naked 4 yo girl running around.
