Is this weird or am I just a prude? I was at Diana Ross Playground yesterday where there was a pool of water. Lots of kids playing in it. One mom had her 2 yo ds and a 4ish dd completely naked, playing in there. There were men (mostly dads) all around, so I thought it was so inappopriate to have a naked 4 yo girl running around. Not to mention the boy who was probably not potty trained yet and could have peed/pooped in the pool. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

Plenty of naked/diaper-only kids in the CPW/68th street plaground too. I think most of us had no idea water would be on and did not bring swimsuits. [ Reply | More ]

yes, but was there an actually pool of water which wasn't draining out and with no fresh water running into it? Also, dont you think the mom should have left the 4 yo girl in at least her underwear? [ Reply | More ]

I would have but it really would not bother me that she did not. [ Reply | More ]

same at 93rd & CPW. Yesterday was the first day that the water was on, so I don't think anyone was prepared. [ Reply | More ]

^^^I am fine with the nudity. If the little one is not potty trained I'd take issue. [ Reply | More ]

I'm OK with this too. I don't think the sight of a naked 4 yo is a problem for grown men, unless there's something the matter with them. The one who is not potty-trained, however, is another story. [ Reply | More ]

OP has no clue whether that kid was potty trained or not. I know quite a few 2 year olds that are. [ Reply | More ]

Me, too. No one expected it to be that hot. Lots of half-naked kids at the park I was at, too. [ Reply | More ]

I think the Parks Dept has been trying to enforce a rule about naked kids at the playground. My nanny told me that she heard she couldn't change ds's clothes at the playground. She heard it was related to concerns about pedophiles hanging out at the playground and taking pictures. [ Reply | More ]

That's absurd. So you are supposed to walk out of the playground to change your dc? What would be the purpose of that? [ Reply | More ]

I have no idea -- that' just what my nanny hear. Who knows if it's true. She kept doing it anyway and no one complained. [ Reply | More ]
