Crest White Strips are these strips you put on your finger and brush with. Don't need to rinse. In case you're in too much pain (I had Csec but sure vaginal recovery can be just as bad) to get up and go to the bathroom to brush. [ Reply | More ]

This is just me but I brought a portable DVD player and some DVDs of my favorite TV show that I own. It was nice to just chill a little and watch them, especially in the middle of the night when I was nursing, becuase DS nursed for a really long time in the beginning. Also slippers or flip flops to walk around in. Moisturizer and lip balm. And a giant T-shirt (instead of wearing the hospital gown, when guests were there and I didn't want them to see my ass. The only single thing you will need is money for a private room! Everything else you don't really need to schlepp with you. See what the hospital offers you and then send DH home to get you the missing pieces. I had a huge carry-on when I gave birth for #1 and most of the stuff I didn't use at all. With #3 I was wiser and hardly packed a thing. [ Reply | More ]

You can try going to him when he cries, pick him up and pat him, soothe him, but don't feed him (good for dh to do this if you're bfing), put him down, let him cry for 5-10 mins, repeat as necessary. It only works if both partners are on board and it might take a few days. We do this every few months when there's a sleep shakeup; dd is now 13 mos. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] I completely lost it on DD just now. I asked her if she wanted pizza for lunch and she said yes so I made one. I put it on her plate and she started screaming and throwing it on the floor. So I took it away and said I'd make her eggs instead if she wanted it. She said yes. Then I ate a piece of the pizza and she screamed "MINE!" so I tried giving it to her and she screamed again. I totally totally started yelling at her. I was so angry!! I also have had a really bad cold all week, so I've been not as patient, but I think I still would have been mad even if I didn't have the cold. How do you handle things like this? I"m aware of when the school was formed. I have a child in school there. The parents and administrators are quite intelligent and proud of the roots of the school and there very well may be someone there who has access to or knows the history. Do you not know any history past 35 years ago? I don't get your lol. Trying to be helpful. [ Reply | More ]
