Anyone know anything about NYC Pre-K? I've now heard that even if it isn't offered at your local schools that you can still send your kid to another school. Is this true? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

you can apply if your school doesnt have one, but since there are not enough spots for zoned kids and mini baby boom in nyc- there wont be room for your un-zoned kid [ Reply | More ]

agree, you should look into UPK options. Get the list of the DOE website and start calling centers near you [ Reply | More ]

universal pre-k. state program, not sure if there is a finacial qualification. Some daycares provide it, otherwise churches etc run a 2.5hr program [ Reply | More ]

if the current apps are still available on line- they have a whole list of CBOs (community based org) that offer UPK [ Reply | More ]
