[ - ] I want to take my 3 month old on Metro North from Grand Central to New Haven. I was planning to use her Bugaboo stroller with the car seat snapped into place. Has anybody done this before? Did you have to fold up the stroller on board, or can you stow it where people stow their luggage? Did you keep the baby in the carseat next to you,or hold her on your lap? 2 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

I've been doing that trip with dd since she was weeks old and we never brought a stroller, especially our Bug. We always carried her in the Baby Bjorn, then took her out once we were on the train. We also were picked up in NH by someone with a car seat, so we didn't have to bring one with us. [ Reply | More ]

if you don't have to take your car seat, don't bring the stroller or the seat. use a baby bjorn or a sling, and take dc out once you're on the train. [ Reply | More ]

rather incomplete picture you provide, but your use of the term SAHM, as opposed to "unemployed single mom" implies that there's a DH or something who is the primary breadwinner. If that's the case, then I'd say yes, fine get rid of the car payment. If you calculate the expense of carrying that 4750 in debt, the effective interest rate on that loan is pretty huge. we just got this for my parents place in the country bc the windows there don't allow for normal ac unit and there are too few hot days to make it worth installing anything permanent. the installation was pretty easy and it works well for rooms up to 400 sq ft. [ Reply | More ]

I just spoke with someone at Student Enrollment and she said the letters have already started going out and that we should get them any day. [ Reply | More ]

or: The woman didn't have any information at all and, quite honestly, didn't sound that connected to the kindergarten process. She said she was told that the letters had started to be mailed, but she didn't know when or how the letters were being sent. My conversation with her was for real, though. I posted about 2 minutes after we hung up. I know some people post fake things on here to rile people up, but I'm an anxious parent, too, and I wouldn't do that. [ Reply | More ]

I'm OP: D15 too. I feel like all I've done through this process is wait and be anxious. Not pleasant! [ Reply | More ]

I just called the number from the website and was told that they will be going out "sometime this week" and no letters have gone out yet. [ Reply | More ]

I was the first responder who was told some letters had already gone out. I called 374-2363. I guess we'll just keep getting contradictory info until we actually receive the letters. I just want to know already. It's getting to the point where I don't even care where DD ends up -- just tell me where it is. [ Reply | More ]

I'm the 2nd caller. I called 212-374-5165 and got a very bored sounding receptionist. [ Reply | More ]

And she was the one that said sometime this week? Even if that is true - I guess we can be hopeful. Going away this weekend and hope I get before we leave! Don't want to muse about what's waiting while we are away (sad but true that I will) [ Reply | More ]

I feel like we had the same noise over scores and yet when someone posted they hadn't gone out, we got our scores that day. I hope it's the case this time too! I just want to know already - please get me the letter before Friday! [ Reply | More ]
