Moved to a rental with casement 1920s or 30s windows. We would have to put the air conditioner in vertically and break a casement window. The portable ACs get bad reviews. WWYD? [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I have never heard of doing this...does not sound like a good idea to break a window or put the a/c in vertically. [ Reply | More ]

talk to your super/managing agent. Some apts have through the wall units or they can be installed. [ Reply | More ]

Cotsco is advertising a windowless airconditioninf which looks good for $399. It must vent throught a small hose through a window. check it out. [ Reply | More ]

we just got this for my parents place in the country bc the windows there don't allow for normal ac unit and there are too few hot days to make it worth installing anything permanent. the installation was pretty easy and it works well for rooms up to 400 sq ft. [ Reply | More ]
