[ - ] just found out my co-op signed a contract to put cellular antennae and base equipment on our roof. anyone have experience with this and whether it is safe? i heard joel klein wanted to put them on public schools to raise $$ but public outcry foiled the plan. 3 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

The latest research shows no link between these antennae and cancer, etc. But I don't know if I'd want to be a test case for it myself. [ Reply | More ]

that's not actually true. there is no conclusive research about the effects of 24/7 exposure in a residential setting. and, in other settings, it hasn't been conclusively proven either way -- there is evidence both ways and apparently cancer is not the only risk. there is research linking it to autism, ADD, behavioral disorders, sleep disorders, and of course cance. I guess how to deal with the emotional sides of things. We also don't own a house, yet and just moved to a new area that I was hoping was less materialistic than our last, but found it's not. Also, DH values money a lot more than I do, even though he mismanages it. He'll ask me or tell me-- is it to keep up with the Joneses? ... He'll be chiding me but he's really the one who worries about that type of stuff. [ Reply | More ]

most Americans aren't vaxed against smallpox. But some other diseases are making a comeback, like measles & whooping cough. But I don't know what a public record will achieve for OP. Perhaps a scarlet "V" tattooed onto non-vaxed kids would help out. [ Reply | More ]

Do you know what immunosuppression is? There are a variety of forms, some make it so the child does not develop immunity even when vaccinated. Additionally, they are much more susceptible to complications from the diseases. [ Reply | More ]

Luckily, nowhere near that severe. But he's sick all the time and he does not have immunity for most of vaccines (which we staggered to protect him). The thing we discovered is that 3-15% of the vaccinated population is not protected from the disease (depending on the vax). [ Reply | More ]
