NOthing is a guarantee. 99 kids get rejected, too. Of course, the kid has to be smart, but also very socially rounded (favor more extroverted, verbal ones though shy kids get in, too) and prek report is imp, parents who are nice, etc., etc. and even then, it depends on how many spots they have left. We are an incoming Dalton family and do not feel this year's incoming families were showy or wealthy at the few events they've had so far. But I must admit even the ones who are not $$ are still eloquent, savvy and educated for the most part. Batch #1 came out really flat. If I refrigerate the rest of the dough, will that solve my problem? And if I do chill it, do I have to adjust cooking time or temperature when I cook?
