Those 97 and 98s may have gotten more correct than some 99s, but it's curved by month. And we all know how even and consistent 4 year olds are, not to mention that their brain development is finished by the time they're 4. You're right, I don't think testing 4 year olds is brilliant. That said, I understand why a large school system needs to do it. But understanding what 4 year olds are like, I think it's foolish to make large distinctions between DC whose scores aren't significantly different. Also, how many people who registered at their zoned school and will take a G&T spot will bother to call their zoned school to "unenroll"?
