Am I a bad person? When I saw 98 can get into LL, even one 97 got in. I am not happy for my 99 dc. [ Reply | Watch | Flag ]

I think you're deluded in thinking a 99 scoring 4 year old is much smarter than a 97 or 98. You'll see this once school starts. [ Reply | More ]

Hunter doesn't have a problem with it, Anderson never did either. Can't understand why you would. [ Reply | More ]

Cutoff for Hunter is only 98 and 99. No 97 [ Reply | More ]

This year was the first time that was the case. Was 97 for several years. [ Reply | More ]

Very DIFFERENT test. A 99% OLSAT cannot be compared to a 99% SB [ Reply | More ]

SB 96-99 is probably more of a gap than the OLSAT. [ Reply | More ]

Well in private school, DC will be w/a wider range of ERB scores. Remember all those postings about low 90s and high 80s at Brearley -- quelle scandale! [ Reply | More ]

and you have data to support your claim? go away mom of the past or hunter mom. the olsat rocks. kids chosen by it last year in our G&T are very smart. you really have no idea. [ Reply | More ]

Those 97 and 98s may have gotten more correct than some 99s, but it's curved by month. And we all know how even and consistent 4 year olds are, not to mention that their brain development is finished by the time they're 4. Time to read up on child development or home school if you think your DC is being dragged down. [ Reply | More ]

Not bad, just silly. My 98 reads 100+ page chapter books and does 1st grade+ math for fun. 97,98,99 for 4 year olds are very similar, especially with the monthly curves. [ Reply | More ]

You're right, I don't think testing 4 year olds is brilliant. That said, I understand why a large school system needs to do it. But understanding what 4 year olds are like, I think it's foolish to make large distinctions between DC whose scores aren't significantly different. They're all bright DC--few of the 99s are truly gifted or PG anyway. [ Reply | More ]

to the OP: I don't think you're a bad person, but I do think you need loads of therapy. If this is how you react to something involving your 5 year old, what on earth kind of helicopter mom are you going to be as time goes on? Stop living through your kid and get a life! [ Reply | More ]

Your dc would be lucky to be in class with my 99 SB, 97 Olsat dc. DC is reading at a 5th grade level and is scary smart(he reads better than his 10 year old cousin). Unfortunately a 97 won't get A and we're wl'd at H. [ Reply | More ]
