Yep. It's lovely but hard to get to. Casa de los Jasmines is a really pretty hotel, owned by Robert Duvall. The town is pretty, very colonial. Having said all this, there's not that much to do there but totally chill out and look at the pampas, which, considering the effort it takes to get there, might not be worth it. Aerolineas Argentinas are ALWAYS going on strike. We got stranded in Mendoza (which is great, and you should stay out in the vineyard area, not Mendoza center, if you're going) -- and had to drive back to BA. 14 hours of HELL. [ Reply | More ]

I would say yes, although it depends on how insightful the coach is. Often I find that clients who are in your shoes actually do have more of a sense of where they want to go than they think they do, but there is a lot of fear tied up in going for it. [ Reply | More ]

I got into it the way most people change jobs, I hated my last one, and discovered that I was really good at this. Pay is harder because we recently moved and now I'm pregnant, so I'm taking time off as building a business is a ton of work to do just to turn around and take an extended maternity leave. I imagine that your middle of the road, reasonably good at marketing life coach would make 60-100k after 3 years of building the business. [ Reply | More ]

Honestly, this is the thing that annoys me most about my chosen profession. The standards are very loose. I would suggest taking classes, and there is a certification process that you can go through, but there are two competing certifications, so I decided to wait it out. Honestly, a coach builds her client base mostly through word of mouth and results, so whatever is going to get you to the point that you can successfully coach is probably the way to go. Basic training in coaching is necessary, but most of my skills come from my business training. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] We want to make an offer on a house that is in the final stages of construction. One thing we want to really make sure is up to par is the double retention wall on the side of the home- should we have an engineer come out before making an offer? we did not have this particular issue, but we did offer (and ended up buying) a house that was under construction. We used an inspector that we had used on another house we had bid on, we were comfortable that he knew what he was doing (my dh works in real estate finance, so he knows a little about this stuff). But if you really want to be thorough, get an engineer in addition (tho perhaps you can find an inspector with an engineering background). GL -- I found the process really stressful throughout, but it was worth it in the end. [ Reply | More ]
