Preschool of America on the UWS used to be run by a psycho. Ds was there before we yanked him out. They did crazy things -- one day I came to collect DS and they had left the front door open with no-one manning reception -- ANYONE could have walked in. At the time, one of the other PSof As had been closed down for some sort of health violation, all the kids had been reassigned to PSof A on the UWS, and the place was in chaos. Public school for gifted kids. Goes from K-12 - K-6 is for Manhattan kids only; 7-12 is open to all NYC kids. There are only 2 entry points - K and 7th. It's public but not a DOE school. [ Reply | More
