My son started NEST last year. There was no welcome for them last year. I never would have thought or expected there to be one. ^^^^btw, sitter gets all the sick days she needs, and gets paid for 52 weeks a year -- it's a salary job, not an hourly job. sometimes she comes early and stays later; other times she leaves early. it all works out in the end. she gets a year-end bonus too. all this said, we know her for many years, though she didn't sit for us all the time we've known her. it's a very personal relationship and there's a lot of trust there.
