[ - ] Feel terrible but lose patience easily w 4 yo. It must be hard on him with 1 yo beginning to walk , etc but it's so hard to get him to listen. Find myself raising my voice to put on shoes, hold hand, cross street, etc. He's in nursery and tests well (he's fine) it's just that he's four and a daydreamer. There's a lot of whining these days too. 5 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

Be sure to catch him listening and praise. My 3 yo does the same thing. Unfortunately I had told him too often the he was not listening to the point he that he saw himself as a "bad listener". I've had to rethink the way I phrase things. [ Reply | More ]

[ - ] I will not be having sex except on the day I ovulate because I am doing the Shettles method for a boy. Is having sex just the one time on the day you ovulate too late? How long does the egg live and will the sperm get to it in time? 7 Replies [ Reply | Watch | More ]

egg lives for 24 hours, but it gets fertilized the easiest if it happens right as it is released. I think that it can take about 6-12 hours for sperm to reach peak concentration in the tubes. This method is not a great way to get pregnant quickly at all... [ Reply | More ]

actually an egg can live up to 24 hours but it may not. If you are trying for a boy you can also have sex in the 24 hours before you ovulate. Sperm live for a while but the male sperm usually die off quicker - but they are fast swimmers. Use an OPK. [ Reply | More ]

That's why I am trying to time sex as close to ovulation as possible. The male sperm die so quickly. [ Reply | More ]

Sperm can live in your body several day before ovulation but you can absolutely get pregnant on the day you ovulate if you are TTC you should keep on having sex until you are sure you have ovulated (regularly checking your BBT can let you know for sure) [ Reply | More ]

Talk to your ob and read taking charge of your fertility. My OB said that the best time to have sex is 1 or 2 days before you ovulate, the day before being best, and that many women who think that they are having problems ttc are really just continuously missing the window, because they aren't having sex until the opk tells them to. The best way to get pregnant is to have sex every day or every other day after your period stops until a day after you ovulate. [ Reply | More ]

We had a full time nanny but I think the most important is to agree in advance, and I think the usual is to give 2 weeks (so in your case: 2 days) of paid vacation, one of her choosing one of your choosing. Other times if you are away and giving her time off you can try to arrange for another day to work instead (discuss it when you hire), but otherwise you have to pay. Not sure about sick days..
